I have a present for you,
A simple deep black rose
The red ones are so common
And I wanted this to be special
You see the red ones are beautiful
Blood red- a sight to behold.
They show love, anger and passion
As though they have a soul
This black one is so very simple
Just one will do the job.
I grew in my garden
And treated it with love.
A black rose shows the opposite
Of it much loved cousin.
It represents death and peace
After destruction.
And with this simple rose
I wanted it to tell
How much you mean to me.
How much you’ve seeded hell.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. You can think of anything you want, just make sure you still respect the theme. You can choose to illustrate dreams, nightmares or even both of them. Anything you want!
