I have a present for you,
A simple deep black rose
The red ones are so common
And I wanted this to be special
You see the red ones are beautiful
Blood red- a sight to behold.
They show love, anger and passion
As though they have a soul
This black one is so very simple
Just one will do the job.
I grew in my garden
And treated it with love.
A black rose shows the opposite
Of it much loved cousin.
It represents death and peace
After destruction.
And with this simple rose
I wanted it to tell
How much you mean to me.
How much you’ve seeded hell.
